Absrtact
ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) has become an indispensable and important support for global sustainable development. By improving information transparency, companies can help stakeholders understand their performance in promoting sustainability. In order to effectively manage and reduce the risk of chemicals and promote the independent chemical management in enterprises, there are three work items in this plan. The first item is to review domestic and foreign ESG evaluation mechanisms, and apply for sustainable management of chemical. The second item is to study chemical footprint project and develop the implementation plan of chemical footprint surveys and measurement technology system in Taiwan. The third item is to integrate ESG mechanisms and chemical footprint, establish applicable chemical substance management indicators, data inventory, and survey practices, and develop index items and practices that can be applied in the 4th Green Chemistry Application and Innovation Award. The project reviewed eight international and six domestic ESG rating agencies, analyzed their chemical management-related items and indicators, proposed indicators and practices for the integrated application of ESG ratings in chemical management, and held three specialist consultant meetings. In addition, the "CFP 2020 Report: Front-runners in Chemical Footprinting" was translated to understand the chemical footprint survey and its results, and held one specialist consultant meetings..We studied international practices, and preliminarily assessed that the chemical footprint survey covers the entire chemical management. The implementation plan will be developed and verified by the industry in the future.
